Abstract:High-performance computing clusters (HPCCs) are common entities in research labs and departments. They provide cost-effective computation-intensive environments that are built and tuned to address specific problems. However, as workstations and PCs have become commodities, the viability of using HPCCs to support undergraduate assignments, problem sets, and projects may be approaching.
