Anthony,Thank you for sending this. We too have been experiencing an odd issue with eduroam/802.1X SSIDs on 17.9.2 & 17.9.3 where devices cannot connect. Devices sometimes cannot connect until they toggle the "Private Wi0Fi Address" on their device, it works. Has anyone else seen this? Christina Klam ...

All, If people have working replacements of iPSK-manager, could they share via GitHub or GitLab? Christina Klam Network Engineer Institute for Advanced Study 1 Einstein Dr Princeton, NJ 08540 (m) +1 609-751-7899 (o) +1 609-734-8154 cklam@ias.edu

All,Ubuntu 18.04 long term support ends in a month. So, we tried installing iPSK-manager on 22.04. Now, we are having issues with PHP as ubuntu 22.04 uses php 8.1. 1. Are people running ipsk-manager just on 18.04 in PN/DMZ? 2. Has anyone tried running it in 20.04? 3. Has someone gotten it to run the ...

Mitch,Thank you. If this can stop people from installing their own wifi routers, contain mDNS in Housing, and reduce our headaches, we would be very happy. I will spin it up a test environment. All,We are looking at the iPSK Manager on github: https://github.com/CiscoDevNet/iPSK-Manager. We use mPSK now but do not like the five PSK/wlan limit. We would like a more dynamic, automated way of giving people personal PSK for their devices. A youtube video from Cisco suggested iPSK-Manager. But, ...

We use both vPC and LACP for the data uplinks to our ESXi servers. We have been doing so for our N5K & N7K and now N9K. But, as someone mentioned, for any non-teamed physical hosts, you must use the orphan comment. We learned that the hard way. In terms of load balancing, do not use the default. When ...

Stuart,We have been using APCs as they can do https and snmpv3. However, we do not use them for monitoring noise, water or humidity. We use geist sensors which we bought 10-15 years ago (so, we are too interested in hearing what other use). MONITORING: For both the APCs and geists, we use snmp for monitoring ...

All,We are moving to using DNA Center to configure and manage our wireless controller and switches. A netconf user account with priv 15 is required. This concerns me. If that account is compromised, they will have the keys to the castle. We use ISE for AAA and the account can be in AD/ldap. We currently ...

I was working on adding DHCP option 114 via Infoblox. I did not have much luck. I am not sure where the issue was as I did get much time to troubleshoot it before being pulled into another project. Has anyone else had success with adding this option in Infoblox? Christina Klam Network Engineer Institute ...

ChuckThank you for the clarification. However, I believe you said the same thing as I but in a different way. Perhaps I was not clear and should wait until my coffee kicks in before writing. We have noticed that randomization happening more often than on "forget." When it switches SSID and gets a new ...

About this random MAC address workaround, it only works if the new MAC address does not have the unlucky combination. When they get the 888e, that user will occasionally not be able to connect and not know why. (Does anyone else have a slot machine gif in their head?). For this reason, we are telling ...

I second the WS-C3560CX-12PD-S. But, be aware that not ALL of ports can be used for POE. We have discovered that we can only connect 10 APs to the switch due to its power constraints. We use regular/indoor switches in our outside IDFs. While we are not as hot as long as NC, we have not had an issue with temperature tanking a switch. Now, bugs? Yep, they have shorted switches. But temperature? no. A Cisco Catalyst 9300, for example, can run between -40 to 158F (-40 to 70 C). Christina ...
