Hi Everyone, Thanks again for your feedback. We ended up going to 17.12.4 over the weekend as mentioned here and recommended by Cisco. So far the issue has been resolved, I'm waiting to see Wednesday goes just to be sure. Overall the client allocations seem to be much better and more of what is ...

Hi Jerry, Thanks for your feedback, 17.12 seems like the place we need to be. Have you come across any other issues with it since the semester start? We moved to 17.9 since we aren't running 6Ghz at this point. Tim ------------------------------ Tim Boyle Network Engineer University of Maryland, ...

Hi Tristan, It sounds like the issue is fixed in 17.12.4 so hopefully you aren't seeing it. The client allocations appear to be really skewed where majority of the clients are on 2.4Ghz radio but little to none are on the 5Ghz radio. I attached what we found in DNAC, the sudden surge of 5Ghz clients ...

Hi Eric, I'm sorry we keep meeting under these circumstances (1815w -abnormal utilization on 5Ghz). : ( At least I'm in good company in the trenches. Its funny you mentioned the config sync issues, I ran into a similar problem going from 17.3.5b to 17.9.5. I had been pretty lucky with ISSU up to that ...

We recently upgraded our 9800-80 to iOS-XE 17.9.5 from 17.3.5b over the summer. During the first week of classes we received a couple of complaints of wireless connectivity issues in two of our lecture halls. Looking in DNAC during the class period we noticed a significant number of clients on the 2.4Ghz ...

Hi Eric, Unfortunately we had to downgrade back to 17.3.5b as TAC kept believing it was an RF issue. I did see that bug mentioned over in another thread on here as well. I believe that is what we were running into. We have quite a few 1810w's to get rid of first before we can get to a fixed version ...

Hi Eric, We are running into a similar issue with our 1815w's, 9800-80 WLC running 17.3.7. After the upgrade to 17.3.7 during the summer we received complaints of slowness and noticed 5Ghz utilization was high even in apartments that were empty. A survey with our Netscout did not show the same channel ...

Hi Everyone, Our department received some negative feedback concerning wireless connectivity in our Lecture Halls and other high client density areas. Our team has been working to fix what we can with RF tweaking over Winter Break but we will definitely need to make some AP changes over the summer. ...
