This user claims not to use any third-party apps but Grammarly (which I don't think can delete inbound email), and I believe her. Do you not find it suspicious that the disappearing email also can't be searched for in Google's logs by message ID? That really jumps out at me.

That's what'll happen here. For now, I started by taking one look at it, noticed it wasn't covered by our Workspace, and went into my boss's office to recommend not activating it. He beat me to it!

That's true, Chuck. And that's part of the picture. In the meantime, I'm being asked to mitigate the risk of having another six hundred emails sent to one of our departments that they and I have to clean up.
