  • Itana Book Club Invitation

It is that time of year again!  We are soliciting INTEREST and BOOK IDEAS for the upcoming Itana Book Club.

For those unfamiliar with the Itana Book Club, we select a book and have 2 or 3 calls over a period of a few months to discuss as we read it.  We then report what we learned during a Friday Itana call session.  It is open to anyone interested in Itana and is an easy, low commitment, fun way to interact with your Itana colleagues.  You are welcome and encouraged to join even if you can’t commit to fully reading the selected book or join the discussions.

This will be our 8th book and we need your assistance to pick one for this session.  Visit the Book Club Itana Page to see what we’ve read to date.

Please sign up using this Google doc or contact me directly at Jonathan.DuChateau@wisc.edu if you are interested in joining the book club, have a book to suggest, or if you are interested in helping to facilitate this year’s Itana Book Club.

  • New2EA 2022-2023 Program: Call for Interest - Join the Cohort

Itana is launching the premier New to Enterprise Architecture (New2EA) Program in higher education. It is intended for new architects or architects new to higher education.  This is a call for interest, not a commitment to participate.

Interested in learning more as we get closer?  Please complete the poll below:

New2EA 2022-2023 Program: Cohort Interest Poll

Know someone who might be interested? Please forward this message to them!

We’re planning a 9-month long, no-cost, cohort-based program consisting of multiple half-day sessions and mentoring triads. Work between sessions will provide more in-depth learning and enhance learning in the interactive sessions. The sessions will be led by seasoned leaders from several universities and colleges who bring a breadth of experience and perspective.  You will also have an assigned leader coach and mentor to help you on your learning journey.

Learning Outcomes we expect you to gain:

    1. What is architecture and what is Architectural Thinking?
    2. Understanding the Context of your architecture practice
    3. Leadership Skills and competencies for Architects
    4. Soft Skills needed by Architects
    5. Communication Skills used by Architects
    6. Methods and Tools that are often used by Architects
    7. Case Studies of success and failure
    8. AND MORE!

We hope that you will join us in the New2EA 2022-2023 Program.

Itana Steering Committee and the New2EA Planning Team.
