Bio

As Director of Corporate Engagement, Leah Lang is responsible for reimagining the corporate experience at EDUCAUSE. New offerings will focus on bringing institutional and supplier communities together to collaboratively transform higher education.  Leah oversees EDUCAUSE’s corporate portfolio, including corporate sales, sponsorship, advertising, partnerships, and membership.

Prior to leading the corporate portfolio, Leah served as Director of Decision Support for EDUCAUSE.  In this role she led the strategy and operations for EDUCAUSE’s suite of benchmarking services, products, and tools, which are used by the higher education community to inform decision-making about IT and technology solutions.  She re-imagined EDUCAUSE’s Core Data Service, and expanded EDUCAUSE’s decision support tools to include product discovery platforms like CourseGateway.org. As an experienced service and product manager, Leah worked to continuously improve existing offerings while growing the Decision Support portfolio to provide more value to EDUCAUSE members.

Through working closely with the higher education community and staying current on trends in higher education, higher education IT, and technology in general, Leah ensures that IT leaders have the insight they need to implement and maintain effective technology solutions.  Leah’s content expertise of data and technology solutions has positioned her as a leader in the higher education community. She is a sought after speaker and action-oriented meeting facilitator, and is recognized nationally and internationally for her capabilities in these areas.

Prior to working with EDUCAUSE, Leah worked to improve Carnegie Mellon University’s IT project management processes and design metrics for service management. Leah also worked as a mathematical statistician at the U.S. Census Bureau. Her work there entailed research and development for the American Community Survey and weighting and variance estimation for the Current Population Survey. Leah has a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Penn State University, a Master’s degree in Survey Methodology from the University of Maryland, and a Product Management Certification from UC Berkeley Executive Education.
