Security is Number One IT Issue According to 2008 Current Issues Survey Report

EDUCAUSE has published the results of the 2008 Current Issues Survey, and this year Security edged out Funding IT as the top strategic challenge.

2008 Top-Ten IT Issues in Higher Education

EDUCAUSE has published the results of the 2008 Current Issues Survey, which gathered responses from 589 primary representatives of EDUCAUSE member institutions, in the new issue of EDUCAUSE Quarterly, as well as a summary version in the latest EDUCAUSE Review. The articles identify the issues that IT leaders in higher education see as their most critical challenges. Top Technology Trends Announces Program for American Library Association Mtg.

Leading off the afternoon will be the Top Technology Trends discussion. This program features our ongoing roundtable discussion about trends and advances in library technology by a panel of LITA technology experts. The panelists will describe changes and advances in technology that they see having an impact on the library world, and suggest what libraries might do to take advantage of these trends.

Scheduled panelists include: Marshall Breeding, Karen Coyle, Clifford
Lynch, Eric Lease Morgan, Andrew Pace, Karen Schneider, and Roy Tennant
