 <title>Implementing Electronic Portfolios: Benefits, Challenges, and Suggestions</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;This research describes the lessons learned during the initial electronic portfolio implementation process at four teacher education institutions. These four universities were chosen because they hold the largest number of individual accounts of this particular commercial e-folio system. The e-folio coordinators at these four institutions shared challenges and opportunities related to implementation, faculty training, and faculty buy-in as their programs evolved in regard to e-folio usage. Coordinators from each university were emailed seven open-ended questions and the coordinators then replied via email. This study found that most challenges and benefits to e-folio use were programmatic/ administrative in nature. Suggestions for e-folio implementation were also provided by participants. University faculty and administrators who have implemented e-folios and those who are planning on implementing e-folios may find information in this manuscript to be useful in structuring e-folio implementation plans and/or moving e-folio usage to the next level.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
