Abstract:Globally, continuing education in the health professions is moving toward a continuous professional development model. Panelists will introduce this change, how the University of Florida Distance, Continuing, and Executive Education division is leading this transition, and barriers encountered. Participants will then debate how emerging instructional technologies (e.g., portfolios, collaborative tools, social software) can overcome barriers.
