Abstract:University of Minnesota has implemented a new way for faculty and professional advisers to access Web-based information about their advisees. The My Advisees reporting suite provides advisers with a toolkit to monitor their advising loads, verify advisees' credit loads, obtain academic records, prepare for meetings, check academic progress, and more.

Abstract:The Connecticut Distance Learning Consortium, with more than 10 public, private, and two- and four-year institutions, has created a unique collaborative model for providing support services to online students. Collaboration has resulted in more robust services being offered at a considerable savings of staff time and money for each participating institution.

Presenters will describe all components of the solution including its unifying portal, servers, storage, and middleware. The solution includes monitoring tools to measure how well e-services meet customer expectations of availability, integrity, and performance.
