In 1998-1999 both institutions rolled out respective production DSL services. Stanford partnered initially with Covad, and Carnegie Mellon with Bell Atlantic. Both universities retained responsibility for Internet Service Provider functions. Today each has 350-400 subscribers representing all campus sectors. This session will review Stanford and Carnegie Mellon's DSL configurations while focusing on the technical, operational, and support challenges. | | View this resource: | |
