Abstract:

Shibboleth is used to develop architectures, policy structures, practical technologies, and an open-source implementation to support interinstitutional sharing of Web resources subject to access controls. Georgetown University is working with the Washington Research Library Consortium to extend secure, identity-protected access to publishers' resources that have not yet been Shibboleth enabled.
