Abstract:New Mexico State University began an aggressive ERP project in October 2003 with a conversion to Banner at the core. Simultaneously, NMSU also went live with workflow, imaging, portal and CMS, SCT ODS/EDW, Cognos reporting, SCT student marketing (Matrix), eVisions, Appworx, and Higher Markets. Although we are tired, the project changed our culture.

Abstract:Princeton University has adopted and refined a collaborative process for identifying, structuring, prioritizing, and scheduling all of our administrative systems projects. We have a three-tiered approach that engages functional users, process and policy owners, and senior executives to collaboratively agree on the administrative system priorities for the university. The best part is, it works extremely well.

Abstract:This session will discuss the relationships among academic, administrative, and technology strategic planning in the context of best practices and accountability. A major emphasis will be devoted to an initiative in the California State University (CSU) system known as Common Management Systems or CMS, an ambitious attempt to migrate from a legacy administrative systems environment to one that leverages the assets of 23 campuses, through integration of the human resource, financial, and student record functions.
