The College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania has as a goal expanding opportunities for undergraduates to conduct significant research and promoting the products of this research. CUREJ, the College Undergraduate Research Electronic Journal, was developed in collaboration with the Penn Libraries to achieve this goal.

The DPubS Development Project: Building an Open Source Electronic Publishing System

Supporting the Integration of Digital Assets in Learning, Teaching, and Scholarly Communication

The presentation will describe Cornell University Library's Digital Consulting and Production Services (DCAPS) department, which supports the development of e-scholarship models that draw on the library's expertise working with digital content. DCAPS offers a suite of digital asset management services, including digitization, copyright, metadata, technology support, and e-publishing.

The Development of the Poetry Portal: How the Library and ITD Collaborated to Publish Electronic Texts on the Web

The Beck Center for Electronic Collections and Services of Emory University published a large collection of poetry on the Web for the purposes of research and teaching. The site was created through the collaboration of the library, Information Technology Division, and faculty. The project team, interface design, and XML system architecture will be described.
