Abstract:

This meeting will provide a forum for discussing management issues unique to the collaborative efforts now required of librarians and IT managers. It will offer an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas regarding potential partnerships such as training, working with information providers, delivering services, and supporting instructional technology, multimedia, and campus-wide information systems.

Abstract:Bucknell's merged IT/Library organization has defined an organizational culture called our "Collaborative Work Environment." Through an internal Organizational Development Team and specific professional development activities, we have defined our way of working together based on shared values, optimistic thinking, celebration, shared leadership, and our refusal to let each other fail.
