Jointly sponsored by the Vice Presidents of Finance and Business Services and the Vice Provost for Information Systems and Computing (ISC), the cross-functional scope of the project entailed revisiting the traditional technology procurement support roles of the campus computer store, purchasing group, and central information technology organization. The outcomes of the team's efforts thus far provide evidence that cross-divisional leadership in strategic computing initiatives ensures campus wide buy-in and can result in incremental savings and improved service offerings that align with both the University's technology objectives and overall mission.
