Abstract:Change management is one of the most overly articulated and yet rarely used management systems today, especially in university distributed computing environments. We will demonstrate how R25, an event management system, was repurposed to capture change details about upgrades, migrations, and so on across complex interdependent technologies throughout the Emory enterprise infrastructure.

Abstract:At Armstrong, a new Web-based data access system supports management by allowing true ad hoc information retrieval. The information is fed into a decision support system that gives the administration the ability to make better plans, to perform scenario analysis, and to test institutional constraints. The sophisticated meta application features an SQL generator for specialized information gathering.
