 <description>&lt;p&gt;At LSU , student government is extremely active in a spectrum of campus issues, including IT. Like many universities, LSU has a technology fee, but unlike most, student oversight is required by state law. Far from finding this oppressive, students have become &amp;quot;angel investors,&amp;quot; initiating investment and stimulating interest in emerging technologies.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

 <title>Pay for Print vs. Print Conservation: It&#039;s All in How You &quot;Sell&quot; It</title>

 <description>Charging for printing is always a sticky subject. Students see it as another fee and perceive they are getting &quot;nickel and dimed&quot; to death. Le Moyne College introduced a print conservation program that saved money, reduced student printing by 50% in one semester, and met with almost no resistance.</description>

 <title>Network Rate-Based Billing: Impact on Wide-Area Network Growth and Cost Recovery at Cornell University</title>

 <description>To address requirements for a fair and sustainable network cost-recovery process that enables a nonrestrictive network service, Cornell has implemented a new network billing model. The strategy includes usage-based billing to more than 25,000 university faculty, staff, and students for consumption of Cornell&#039;s wide-area network resource.</description>
