EDUCAUSE Core Data Service 2006 Results

This session will summarize the highlights from the 2006 EDUCAUSE Core Data Service survey data. These analyses will identify key findings, important trends, and similarities and differences across different types of institutions. This year more than 940 institutions participated in this collaborative effort. A discussion period will conclude this session to understand concerns and issues from the audience, as well as discussion of future directions.

GROK: A Virtual World of Help

In response, LSU developed GROK, a knowledge base with a mobile device interface, multimedia features, and a collaborative authoring environment.

Best Practices for Using Technology to Deliver Instructional Support Services

The Virginia Community College System developed a 335-item checklist of best practices for delivering nine support services. These are categorized at the basic, intermediate, and advanced levels. The checklist allows an institution to benchmark delivery of these services, set targets, and chart progress in using technology across several years.
