<p>Late last year, Google announced agreements with five major libraries (Harvard, the University of Michigan, the New York Public Library, Oxford University, and Stanford University) to embark on a massive digitization project, holding out the promise of online full-text searching and expanded digital access for tens of millions of volumes.
