 <title>A Report on the EDUCAUSE Cyberinfrastructure Summit</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;EDUCAUSE, as part of its Grand Challenges Program, is hosting several summits on topics of particular importance to higher education. These summits are designed to bring together a small number of thought leaders and experts to capture the best ideas and strategies for advancing the community. The 2007 EDUCAUSE Cyberinfrastructure (CI) Summit, held July 10&amp;#8211;11 in Denver, was attended by about 50 higher education leaders with particular expertise and responsibility in the support of IT for research. A professional facilitator guided the group through a rich discussion of the highest-priority topics they identified. &lt;/p&gt;</description>

 <title>Advanced Networking for All of Higher Education</title>

 <description>On January 7-9, 1999, the EDUCAUSE Net@EDU program facilitated a conference for higher education IT and policy professional to explore how best to prepare the broader higher education community for the advanced networking technology, lessons, and opportunities presented by current advanced networking initiatives such as Internet2 and NGI.  The &quot;Institutional Opportunities for Advanced Networking&quot; meeting included 190 persons from institutions spanning the Carnegie classes.  This paper reports on recommendations that came from that meeting.</description>
