This panel discussed the challenges of harnessing the power of digital content to support learning at scale in both institutional settings and in national efforts. They considered the potential roles of digital content as cognitive media and social media, and they used cases and models that highlight best practices and sticky issues.

Abstract:The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is involved in a two year pilot project which links public schools, community colleges, and universities through a fiber optics based telecommunications network called Vision Carolina. Through this distance learning project, regional partnerships have been formed and new educational opportunities are being developed.
