George Mason University has implemented a new governance structure and portfolio management procedures to provide more effective ERP guidance, direction, and support in a large, distributed campus environment. This presentation will review the process employed to implement these new measures, summarize the results to date, and discuss lessons learned.

At EDUCAUSE 2003, ACU presented a session dealing with the difficulties of implementing a programming prioritization process and the benefits of doing so. Since that time, we have continued to keep our President's Cabinet engaged, but in much different ways than when we began. We will discuss where we started and how the process has evolved.

Abstract:In the past several years, Princeton University has adopted and refined a collaborative process for identifying, structuring, prioritizing, and scheduling all of our administrative systems projects. We have a three-tiered approach that engages functional users, process and policy owners, and senior executives to collaboratively agree on the administrative system priorities for the university. The best part is that it works extremely well.
