Title:Year 2000 Contingency Plan for Information Services (ID: CSD1191)
Origin:Contributed by Organizations or Campuses (1999)
Type:Plans and Guidelines
Abstract:The South Dakota Board of Regents has developed a contingency plan which describes how the State of South Dakota Regents intends to respond to Year 2000 challenges which disrupt its normal state of operations and services to its campus community. This plan is limited to information technology, computer, and communication problems that may arise. The plan provides predetermined actions, which will reduce decision-making during recovery operations, resume critical services quickly, and enable resumption of normal services at the earliest possible time in the most cost-effective manner. It identifies risk areas, responsibilities, and contains priorities for the recovery of information resources based on what areas are most critical to the campus community.
