Abstract:An intrusion detection system (IDS) and security incident response (IR) continue to be a challenge in our community. The budgets for security labor and products in laboratories and centers are small and limited, leading in many cases to the search for open source or low-cost solutions to these problems. A thorough discussion of the issues and challenges in IDS and IR will be conducted. The sharing of successful examples will be encouraged, and IDS and IR recommendations will be sought in the discussions.
