Instructional Support Services at Texas Woman's University has created a Blackboard Faculty Orientation CD. The CD, part of a Blackboard upgrade project plan, is intended to support faculty migration to Blackboard 7.2. This poster will delineate faculty feedback and suggestions for wider implementation of support resources through an LMS upgrade.

Abstract:Team teaching is valuable for promoting integrative thinking, but it is costly to commit multiple faculty to one course. Through intercampus collaboration, NITLE leverages courses and faculty on separate campuses to create a distributed team-taught course that teaches important lessons about using technology to facilitate course creation, administration, and teaching.

Abstract:A successful faculty-development program partnering undergraduate students with faculty members, one-on-one, has been pilot-tested and evaluated at the University of California at Davis. Faculty learning has been evaluated by questionnaires and focus groups. In the first year, about 30 faculty partners, with minimal initial technology skills, have participated.

At Baylor University, we began with a faculty pilot project that eliminated as many as possible of the potential barriers to the use of technology. This presentation will describe our decision-making process, the barriers that we've eliminated so far, and our future plans for the project.
