Abstract:This paper discusses the need for higher education to embrace technology as an integral component of higher education. To do this, the author argues that higher education's perception of technology must change, as well as the structure of the IT organization within the institutional infrastructure. The paper also demonstrates the importance of involving leadership in a flexible strategic planning process.
