Diana & Cyprien ... the full converation

When Brendan and I sat down on Tuesday afternoon to interview Diana Oblinger and Cyprien Lomas, we assumed we would simply pull out sound bites ... which we did for the first introductory piece.  However, we got to thinking that one of the great advantages of podcasting is that audio that you would never normally have access to, could be made available to you in a raw form.  So, here it is ... the full interview ... no editing.

First Breakout Session

After an introduction by Diana Oblinger, Carl Berger and Cyprien Lomas ... the conference is underway.  A big part of this focus session is small group interaction and discussion.  The first breakout group brought together people to discuss reactions to the homework assignment.  Missouri Journalism School student Brendan Watson participated in one of the groups ... and recorded part of the conversation.

That said, though, technology does play a large role in education and, obviously, a very in this conference. Brendan Watson talked to some of the session participants about what "technology" means in an educational setting, and what some cool high-tech (and low tech) tools that have been discussed throughout the conference.

Putting it All Together

This is our final podcast from the NLII Spring Focus Session in Houston.  We pulled the title for our last story from the name of the final group discussion.  The piece focuses on what some of your fellow participants are taking home with them.

I want to thank Missouri School of Journalism students Kyle Palmer and Brendan Watson for all of their hard work, and I'd also like to thank the original podcasting leader, MU faculty member Jen Reeves, for all of her assistance.

I hope you've had a chance to listen to our podcasts, and I hope this is only the beginning ...
