Abstract:

Over the past two years, the IT Marketing and Communications group at Rice University has actively searched for new methods to reach undergraduates. We ask students how they want to hear from us. Then we extrapolate the feedback we gather to guide our campaigns to reach the entire undergraduate population.

Abstract:

This session will describe the planning, development, and implementation of a virtual campus in Second Life to supplement Texas Woman's University's annual Student Creative Arts and Research Symposium. Second Life provides a space where remote students can participate in poster sessions, live presentations, and hands-on demonstrations of student research alongside on-campus students.

Abstract:

Realizing the learning opportunity in students' involvement in their learning process through the use of podcasting, a study was conducted at the University of Southern Mississippi to determine students' knowledge and attitudes of podcasting use in teaching and learning before the campus-wide implementation. The results of the study will be presented.
