The Open University removes CC licensed material from the web

The UK Open University have removed the CC licensed content for their "T182, Law, the Internet and Society: Technology and the Future of Ideas" course from their website while they "address some complex issues."

I suspect that just as Sun and the BBC took a long time and much deliberation to move significantly in the direction of Open Source and open content, the Open University is carrying out the legal, internal and stakeholder reviews to ensure that this is the way to go. In the long term, such deliberation is actually a good thing, because it increases number of staff and stakeholders (students, funders, content providers, etc) on-side and increases the chances open content being a success within the organisation.
