| Abstract: | This presentation will describe how Penn State University converted its data warehouse and mainframe legacy system to use a unique random 9-digit number (PSU-ID) instead of a Social Security number as a unique identifier on all records. This presentation will describe the years of preparation preceding the conversion and the process used to convert the system, outlining the strengths and weakness of our plan. | |
