| Abstract: | One way to focus either an educational use of technology or a study of that application is to clarify the educational goals for using the technology. Of all the educational improvements that might stem from this use of technology, which are the most important to assess? To help focus on specific outcomes, it helps to have a vocabulary -- a taxonomy of different types of outcomes that are especially pertinent to technology use. This article describes two taxonomies that together provide useful starting points for clarifying educational outcomes of technology use. |
