Abstract:Legal online music services are widely viewed as the preferred solution to illegal P2P file sharing of copyrighted works. During the past year the Joint P2P Committee of Higher Education and the entertainment community hosted two workshops and issued an RFI to investigate campus hosting of legal online services for music and other digital content. The committee's Technology Task Force staff will describe the process and the results of this investigation.
