Abstract:

This research bulletin is the second of two devoted to digital rights management (DRM). It examines the components of a DRM ecosystem model for higher education and describes where policies need to be set and what technology should be considered when implementing rights management. The first bulletin in the series describes the model, demonstrates how it can be used to structure an analysis of DRM requirements, and identifies current and potential solutions as well as the gaps and issues in supporting these requirements.
