Abstract:Typical undergraduates spend more time in public spaces than class, and thus increasingly need pervasive computing. Stanford's TeamSpace offers a new model for public, interactive work space. TeamSpace provides laptop users with shared control of two LCD displays and drag-and-drop file sharing. During the pilot, students found TeamSpace intuitive and helpful for collaboration.
