| Abstract: | The first presentation provides an overview of CENIC's initiatives to provide high-speed Internet access to California residents. Included in the overview is a description of the "National Lambda Rail", which seeks to create a dark fiber national footprint to support very high-end experimental applications including network research. The 2nd presentation details the econonomic benefits for building a ubiquitious next-generation broadband infrastructure for California, providing arguments for the "One Gigabit or Bust Initiative" led by CENIC. | ||
