Abstract:An essential part of CALEA is the technical standards for compliance, which are being developed by a variety of organizations, including the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS), and the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). This session will review the current status of these standards and consider how they might be applied to colleges and universities. The presentation will be followed by a panel of CALEA Tech working group members who will discuss various campus and network scenarios and how they have decided to comply with CALEA.
