Abstract:Higher education computer networks have been called the Achilles? heel of the nation's cyberinfrastructure. Although several recent reports cite the need for government investment in network development and cybersecurity research, the reality of dwindling federal and state budgets could mean that colleges and universities are on their own in shielding their networks from potential cyberhijacking.
