Karl Heins

Karl has over twenty-five years of business and systems experience. Karl graduated with a Masters of Accountancy from University of South Carolina. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Management Accountant and a Certified Information Specialist. He has worked for Deloitte & Touche, Gallo, Stanford University and the University of California. As a manager for Deloitte & Touche, he advised and audited many banking, manufacturing, public utility and non-profit clients in the Northwest and Southeast. Karl reestablished the Stanford University Internal Audit Department's information technology audit function, and he participated in the development of a new audit function at UCSF Stanford Health Care. Joining Stanford University’s Information Technology department as a special projects manager, he led the Year 2000 readiness project and the implementation of Stanford’s first Oracle application. Karl has taught Accounting, Finance or Computer Science at the University of South Carolina, Midlands Technical College, Chapman University and California State University, Stanislaus.
