Maria Schnitzer

Maria Schnitzer is an Instructional Program Manager for Distance Learning at Florida Community College at Jacksonville ? Virtual College and was previously employed as the Assistant Director for Virtual College at New York University. She is also an online instructor and has taught a variety of classes in education, government and technology. Her education includes a B.A. in Political Science from Adelphi University, an M. A . in Government and Politics, an M.L.S. emphasizing Information Technologies Management and is currently conducting dissertation research on distance learning student success to complete her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from New York University's Steinhardt School of Education. She has published several articles and delivered numerous national and international professional presentations on the topics of distance learning administration and faculty technology use
