About MeMy BioAs Strategist and Architect, Bruce Vincent sets the long-term technology direction for central IT infrastructure and enterprise services for Stanford University. Bruce is responsible for network access control, online web services, collaboration tools, datacenter, and all systems related design and regulatory policy for enterprise IT at Stanford. He supports key strategic business decisions for the CFO for Business Affairs. As a member of both the Faculty Senate Committee on Academic Computing and the Course Management Advisory Committee under the Provost, Mr. Vincent contributes to both pedagogical and research computing decisions that support the core mission of Stanford University. Mr. Vincent joined Stanford University in 2001 from Barclays Capital in London where he was the Associate Director of Web Engineering and Information Security responsible for web applications design as well as global web infrastructure and security infrastructure. Mr. Vincent has more than 15 years of applied technology experience in basic research. His position previous to Barclays Bank was as the Director of IT and Bioinformatics systems at the Institute for Genomic Research in Rockville, Maryland where he led IT for 4 years. Bruce Vincent holds a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from the University of Maryland and did his Masters of Science work in Systems Engineering at Johns Hopkins Universitys Applied Physics Laboratory. |
