My Bio
Mike Chapple, CISSP is an IT Security Professional with the University of Notre Dame's Office of Information Technologies. He also holds a concurrent appointment to the Notre Dame faculty and teaches an Information Security course in the University's Computer Applications Department. Prior to joining the Notre Dame team, Mike was Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Brand Institute, a Miami-based consultancy. He previously served as an information security researcher with the National Security Agency and the U.S. Air Force.
Mike is a co-author of the CISSP Study Guide from Sybex, Information Security Illuminated from Jones & Bartlett, the TICSA Training Guide from SAMS and several other titles. He is a Technical Editor of Information Security Magazine and is a frequent contributor to SearchSecurity.com.
Mike earned a BS in Computer Science from Notre Dame, a MS in computer science from the University of Idaho and an MBA from Auburn University. He is a Ph.D. Candidate in Notre Dame's Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
