Louis Hammond is assistant director of Networking and Telecommunications Services for the University of Minnesota.
He manages the group that installs, services, and maintains the University’s telephone and data infrastructure
and he headed a project that replaced the University’s entire 35,000 line telephone infrastructure. He had a large project
management role in the installation and conversion of the University's 50,000 port Next Generation Network -
The Gopher GigaNet. New projects in process include Unified Messaging and Voice Over Ip investigation, design, and production
service deployment.
