Benjamin Royas

Ben Royas is an Instructional Technology Specialist at Claremont McKenna College. As an alumnus of the college (class of 2003) and a long time employee within the Instructional Technology and Client Services department, Ben has played a key role in implementing and supporting several recent technology grants and initiatives at the college including FITness, Mellon, and the Fletcher Jones Peer-to-Peer technology grant. Ben is currently assisting Melissa Zhuo (Instructional Technology Specialist) with training faculty, migrating courses from WebCT, and developing course tools in preparation for CMC's implementation of Sakai in fall 2007. He also supervises a team of student workers knows as Instructional Technology Assistants (ITAs) who are responsible for digitizing faculty course materials and assisting with other specialized instructional technology projects as needed. In June 2006, Ben received his California teaching credential and Master's Degree in Education with a Special Emphasis on Educational Technology in Elementary School Classrooms from the University of La Verne.
