James Basney

Jim Basney is a senior research scientist at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications at the University of Illinois, where he has worked on the TeraGrid project since it began in 2001, focusing on grid single sign-on and science gateway security. Jim leads the MyProxy project, which provides credential management software for grid computing. He is also a member of the Open Science Grid security team, the Globus security committee, and The Americas Grid Policy Management Authority. Jim received his PhD in computer sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
