About MeMy BioGreg DePriest is the VP, Technology Policy for NBC Universal where he spends much of his time on content piracy issues. He began his career with the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) in the wireless and broadcast areas before joining MSTV to participate in the US high-definition standards development process (MSTV is a television trade association focused on technology issues of interest to broadcasters). He then created and managed ToshibaÂs digital video lab in Princeton before repurposing the group as a high-def product development group and relocating it to ToshibaÂs factory near Nashville. He joined NBC Universal in 2006 to focus on digital piracy issues and is located in Washington, DC. Mr. DePriest holds a BSEE degree from NC State University  an institution that unfortunately finds itself on both RIAA and MPAA top-25 lists. |
