Debra H. Allison

Debra Allison was appointed Interim Vice President for Information Technology at Miami University in November 2007. Previously, she served as Deputy Chief Information Officer at Miami University beginning in July 2004, with responsibility for IT strategic planning, IT governance, IT policy, Project Office, and IT communications. In various other positions at Miami, she has had responsibility for implementing new services such as the Project Office, an IT governance structure, knowledge base, university-wide help desk, distributed support program, a student consulting and application development center, and an information center. Initiatives at the state level include negotiation of a Microsoft and Apple software licenses for the independent state-supported institutions in Ohio, and membership on a committee to update records retention requirements. Debi served as a Congressional Intern and Legislative Aide for the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D. C. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and a Master of Science Degree in Personnel & Guidance. Debi is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Computing Professional.
