About MeMy BioMerri Beth Lavagnino spent thirteen years supporting information technology in libraries at Temple University, Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis, Yale University, the University of Vermont, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She also has experience coordinating the cooperative activities of the Chief Information Officers of the Committee on Institutional Cooperation (CIC), a consortium of the Big Ten Universities plus the University of Chicago. She currently incorporates these experiences at Indiana University in her role as Chief Information Policy Officer, where she develops and maintains policies regarding the appropriate use of information technology, and administers education programs about common technology and security issues and concerns. Merri Beth also coordinates investigations and responses to reports of abuse or inappropriate use of electronic information or information technology. She has a Bachelors degree in Education from Temple University and a Masters degree in Library Science from Indiana University. She earned the Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) credential in 2007. |
