About MeMy BioAndrea Nixon is the Director of Curricular and Research Support for Carleton College and has worked in the academic computing field for over 19 years. During that time she has worked with faculty, students and instructional technologists on the effective integration of information technologies into the curriculum of residential liberal arts colleges. She wrote of her experiences in a 1999 article for CAUSE/EFFECT titled 'Discipline-Focused Technology Support Fosters Curriculum Innovation.' She received her Ph.D. from the Department of Educational Policy and Administration at the University of Minnesota. Her research is focused on institutional policymaking that affects teaching, learning, and research environments generally with specific focus on faculty copyright ownership of curricular materials. She has served on a variety of EDUCAUSE committees including the Security Task Force Policies and Legal Issues Working Group and is a former chair of the Advisory Committee on Teaching and Learning. |
