Melissa J. Poole

Melissa Poole is an educational researcher and grant writer in the Missouri School of Journalism, where she is working with faculty to conduct research on the integration of digital media and pervasive computing into the curriculum. Melissa received her Ph.D. from the School of Information Science and Learning Technologies at the University of Missouri. Her research focuses on the use of new communication technologies in collaborative teams and in the formation of communities of practice. She also works with faculty at the Journalism School to design and find funding for projects ranging from international educational exchanges to health communications research.
